The Strathclyde Institute for Biomedical Sciences brings together over 200 active researchers, with a depth and range of skills, which is unique among British universities, in a purpose-built centre of excellence. The aim is to consolidate existing strength in the area of biomedical sciences, and to provide a focus for growth by facilitating inter-disciplinary research and teaching.
The Strathclyde Institute for Biomedical Sciences is based within a purpose built research and teaching facility in the heart of the city of Glasgow. 7,000m2 of new laboratory, teaching and administrative space overlooks award winning landscaped gardens creating the ideal environment to enable the core field of biomedical sciences to develop strongly for the 21st Century.
