This free lunchtime seminar will provide delegates with an invaluable insight into how to successfully apply for European Framework Programme (FP7) funding for R&D and will also give examples of the support projects which are currently running in Scotland, with Scottish partners and/or co-ordinators, with the specific aim of making it easier for SMEs to get involved in FP7 projects.
The budget for FP7 was set during December 2005, and with some 10.4 Billion earmarked for Health and Biotechnology, the funds available to SMEs for research and development will be at least twice that available under the previous FP6. Despite the enormous increase in available funds, Scottish companies have little record of success when applying for funding from this source. The purpose of this seminar is to provide insight into the FP7 funding process to enable Scottish companies to break down some of the barriers previously encountered and highlight proven methods of proposal writing and contract management.
