The Scottish biotechnology company Link Technologies Ltd have signed a supply agreement for US-based Biosearch Technologies' Quasar Dye and Black Hole Quencher products. Under the terms of the agreement, Link Technologies has acquired non-exclusive rights to market and sell these products to the research market in the UK and Europe. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The Quasar Dyes and Black Hole Quenchers are state-of-the-art products used in dye-quencher based labelling studies of DNA. Such studies have a wide range of applications in genomics research. Quasar Dyes are a more cost-effective alternative to existing market products, whilst the Black Hole Quenchers offer improved properties and superior performance.

This deal helps us to do just that as it positions Link Technologies as the primary supplier of these reagents to our customers in the UK and Europe."
