Dr C.M.R. Turner Mike Turner took his first and second degrees at Kings College London before moving to Glasgow in 1983. After a postdoctoral research position he held independent research fellowships from The Beit Foundation and The Royal Society for 11 years before transferring to the permanent staff of the Institute of Biomedical and Life Sciences in 1997. He is currently Reader in Parasitology and Assistant Director of the Institute. He has an active research group funded by a number of grants from The Wellcome Trust and European Union undertaking functional genomics analyses of malaria and sleeping sickness parasites. |
