John Porter

John Porter is the Business Development Manager with Scottish Colleges Biotechnology Consortium. He has a BSc (HONS) in Applied Microbiology from Strathclyde University and a PhD in Microbiology from University of Glasgow. He joined the Moredun

Research Institute in Department of Bacteriology in 1992 as Higher Scientific Officer and then became Senior Research Scientist. In 1996, he joined Core Technologies Ltd as Microbiology Manager and Project manager for female healthcare. He became a Lecturer/Consultant with Bell College in 1999 and Project Manager for Scottish Colleges Biotechnology Consortium from in 2002. He was Business account Manager with Falkirk College from 2002-2003.
