Dr John Bremner has a PhD in organic chemistry from Glasgow University and is currently Business Development Director of a biotech company Link Technologies which he helped to start 10 years ago. Link develops and manufactures molecular biology reagents. He is responsible for sales and marketing and for the company's collaboration and licensing activities.

Before this he was head of biotechnology at Scottish Enterprise, and a founding Director of Cruachem Ltd (another start-up venture from the early 80's)
